Thursday snap!

Last night Cruz blew it. What a shame. He took the low road and embarrassed himself in the process. A smirking, pathetic display of over-blown ego. I cringed watching him. I became a Trump supporter awhile ago, but still had a hope that Cruz would get behind him and then go on to be a Supreme Court judge or even president himself someday.
No more.

Compare that to the wonderfully humble, soft-spoken Mike Pence. What a great man Trump has chosen to be his running mate!

Go TRUMP/PENCE!

Couldn’t stay up for it last night, but caught some of Pence’s acceptance speech on C-SPAN this morning while I was getting ready for work. It was excellent.

We went to bed early so I did not see it but I will be sure to listen to it on YouTube. What in the world !?!? Is his ego that massive or is he wildly deluded?
I just might have to listen to Beck today for a little while.

Cruz imploded, on his own, last night. What a petty, whiny, petulant little man who has the paradox of a Messiah complex as well.

What scares me about him most is this morning, during the Texas Delegation Breakfast, Cruz received a “smattering of applause.” There are still true believers who will stand by the self indulgent Cruz.

Beck is one. I expected him to defend Cruz for “standing on his honor” blah, blah, blah. And he did. Pretzel logic. I knew it was coming, but still rediculous to hear.

I left the radio on. When I went back downstairs, I heard Becks interview w/Dineesh D’Souza about this new movie on Hillary. So my day off, radio listening wasn’t a total waste. And now I’ll go back to my national talker ban.

Yinz all have a good day!

Cruz may have imploded, but he may have taken the entire 2016 campaign down with him. This is all the drive-bys are talking about, gleefully and triumphantly rejoicing over the discord they see in the Republican party.

All this because his personal “feewings” were hurt, and he wants another shot at the brass ring for himself.

Hey there! Yeah I listened to the first half hour of Beck. You are exactly right, with a smattering of a Putin trolls on the Blaze? Haven’t heard that one.

This time last year I was all Cruz. I looked at Trump with amusement. It was like...ok, he is promoting another show or what. But what a year it has been.

Beck just went off the rails in the past couple of years.

Watching the convention now and I told my husband that the audience seems almost lackluster. As if they’re bored with speeches already.

Morning everyone! Late ping, but I slept in! We’re getting company for the weekend and I took the day off to do some cooking and cleaning.

Watched much of the convention last night. I was impressed, though, by John Voight’s presentation about Donald Trump’s life and accomplishments. There was much about him I did not know. And Trump’s speech was wonderful, though he sure did make a lot of promises. Let’s hope he can fulfill them. I was hoping to hear the words “fair tax” and “social security”.
I felt uplifted after listening. He seemed sincere in his words.

Have a great weekend!

I think there's a lot we hope for that will come our way that is not spoken because of calculated risk.

I was thinking last night ... if the work force increases by 20 - 30 - 40 % or even more ... all those taxpayers will be contributing to SS.

That should provide present recipients with a modest increase in financial benefit.

I'm sure Trump already has working, the men he will appont to take control of SS (as well as every other agency).

I feel great peace with my belief that Trump IS the next President.

I agree knarf. I know he and Pence have different ideas about how to shore it up or change it. Like Pence, I believe (and please don’t slap me!! lol!) that it needs to be privatized - but not for current recipients or those who are within 10 years of retiring. If Trump comes up with a plan that can keep traditional SS, I’m ok with that. I’d like to see a plan where, if you die before you can collect, the money you paid in to it goes to your spouse or children.

I feel greatly reassured after listening to his speech last night. It’s refreshing to hear a presidential candidate who isn’t afraid to say what he’s really thinking - especially after the last 8 years of Obama’s version of ‘transparency’! January, 2017 can’t come fast enough!

Quinn’s analysis of Cruz’s speech and the subsequent fallout was letter perfect. Which leads one to question how the smartest man ever created (Cruz) couldn’t have seen that coming!! Too smart =too prideful.
Proverbs 6:16 “Six things the Lord hates...yeah seven are an abomination. A PROUD LOOK.....” Being the first listed is pride. Plus it ends with “he who sows discord among brethren “ of which Cruz is also guilty.

Anyway...have a wonderful weekend!!!
