Is the Party Over For Bushism?
World Net Daily ^ | 7/18/16 | Pat Buchanan

Posted on 07/19/2016 7:04:30 AM PDT by ek_hornbeck

Neither George W. Bush, the Republican Party nominee in 2000 and 2004, nor Jeb, the dethroned Prince of Wales, will be in Cleveland. Nor will John McCain or Mitt Romney, the last two nominees.

These former leaders would like it thought that high principle keeps them away from a GOP convention that would nominate Donald Trump. Petulance, however, must surely play a part. Bush Republicans feel unappreciated, and understandably so.

For Trump’s nomination represents not only a rejection of their legacy but a repudiation of much of post-Cold War party dogma.

America crossed a historic divide and entered a new era. Even should Trump lose, there is likely no going back.

Arguably the Bushes are the most outrageous example of governing incompetence in the history of the USA.
The only gang comparable were the Bourbons who drove France into the ditch and precipitated the Revolution.

It reminds me of how getting Romney or Jeb to say anything against 0bama or the Clintons was like pulling teeth, but they're suddenly all full of fight, passion, and energy when it comes to attacking Trump.

Exactly. How do GOPe bots explain that?

Romney could and should have used that "go-for-the-throat" passion and hatred he has for Trump and used it to clean 0bama's clock. Same of McCain. Instead both feckless cowards played patty-cake with 0bama, fearing the wrath NOT of Conservatives and Republicans, but of the Media.

JEB? That man couldn't break a pane of glass with his political punch.

The best part of Trump’s win is that the Establishment Liberal Uniparty hacks have been kicked in the nuts and had their throats slit, hopefully never to return again.

Nice imagery ;-)

That's our hope, anyway.

Most of us were done with Bush when he pushed out the NWO that continues to be implemented unabated.

They lied endlessly, called themselves ‘compassionate conservatives’ and all that garbage then ignored the budget, allowed unchecked illegal immigration, etc., etc., etc.,

That, and the filthy alignment with radical Islam and Sauds.

No thanks. Get out, and stay out.

They like him when they think he is the 4th generation of a powerbase.

P won’t get dog catch in two years. As soon as Teddy Kennedy kicked the bucket, all Kennedys in subsequent generations were thrown out because they had zero clout.

That is where the Bushies are today.

They like illegal Mexican criminals and ‘drug wars’ to expand the police state, build those private prisons, expand gov’t control.

When 9/11 occurred, first thing W did was expand gov’t with little oversight and accountability and create the Patriot Act and Dept of Homeland Security.

All of which violate rights of US citizens and do piss little to stop terrorism here.

Good article, but there is no Iranian nuclear deal. They have been violating the deal since before the ink dried.

Unfortunately, your first paragraph is defeated by the second.

Waiting 15 years (at which point nobody but those most interested in politics remember or care) virtually guarantees that it won't leave a mark when it comes to public opinion.

Sure -- it's far less damaging that this was released now. But I believe it's still going to leave a lasting mark. After all, it led to a war and invasion NOT of Saudi Arabia, but of Iraq. We are still paying for those ramifications.

Plenty of us DO care and find the revelation relevant in that it reinforced the notion that the GOPe/RINOs had NEVER been honest with us during W's two-terms on any number of issues -- including the fully enabled Mexican Invasion.

The Arbusto brand got a yuge, undeserved mulligan. But at least the Bush Dynasty is kaput, as is JEB's political career.

Bears repeating. I'm still seething over all of the BS, including W's imfamous "Religion of Peace" propaganda lecture to America.

ZERO oversight and accountability. TOTAL BAMBOOZLE. No wonder the Bushes, Clintons, and 0bamas are cozy. Birds of a Feather.

The Bushes have been such poor losers... they've become a disappointment. All that high flying crap wanting Trump to sign a paper saying he would support the winner - and then this?

It's shameful.

Bush and Romney said such ugly things against Trump - and all in revenge for Trump saying Jeb was 'low energy'. Put the comments of Jeb and Romney side by side with Trumps comments and it's obvious Jeb an Romney are the haters - the two of 'em were just impotent at their insults because they're so out of touch with Trump that nothing would stick.

If Jeb shows up for the convention - or Kasich does - fine ... we move on.

If they don't I doubt any of us would even consider voting for them... and I mean any of us as in the millions of people who voted for Trump.

Neither of the Bush past presidents chose to be at the convention. Neither one has done hardly any public political speaking since their terms. It was the media that chased them down to try to tarnish their work. They just want to be left alone and live out their lives. Why even bring it up? It doesn’t mean a thing but to go along with the rekindling of old media fires intending to make Obama, or anyone else in the lib party now being Hilary, to appear better to think they are riding in on their white horse to save you. And it couldn’t be further from he truth. Let the crap stay on the ground.

A lot of damage has been done over the last seven years. Concentrate on that. Believe me there is enough to go around .

“rump has exposed these pathetic, self-centered losers for what they really are.”

And next on the list should be the outing of those who have been supplying the money to these turds. All this “Altruistic Bull$hit” about those “wonderful” Cock Bros is just that. They are only in it for what they can get out of it for themselves. Laid bare, they are no better than George Soros! It’s long past time when we stripped the mega millions out of the political process and thereby rendered these crony capitalist crapweasels impotent. We should start with making the MSM provide political coverage for free as part of their licensing.

Neither of the Bush past presidents chose to be at the convention.

They demanded loyalty from other Republicans when they were the nominees, now they won't reciprocate when the shoe's on the other foot. When Jeb and his cronies assumed that he was going to be crowned, he asked Trump and the other candidates to sign a loyalty oath. Now, where's the Bush family loyalty to the Party that they demanded loyalty from?

It was the media that chased them down to try to tarnish their work.

They tarnished their own work. I can hardly think of anyone who has done more damage to the Republican party or the conservative movement than the Bushes: amnesty for illegal immigrants, taxpayer funded bank and brokerage firm bail-outs, expansion of Medicaid, embrace of No Child Left Behind, "Nation Building" foreign policy, continued coddling of the Saudis, etc. The media didn't invent any of these things, they were forced upon Republican voters who didn't want them.

They just want to be left alone and live out their lives. Why even bring it up?

If only it were so. They're busy pulling strings to make sure that the next in line in the dynasty rise to the top. Or perhaps you forgot how the RNC did its best to shove Jeb down everyone's throat during the primaries? In eight years they'll be peddling Jorge P.

, or anyone else in the lib party now being Hilary, to appear better to think they are riding in on their white horse to save you. And it couldn’t be further from he truth.

As far as I'm concerned, there isn't a cent's worth of difference between the Clintons and the Bushes. The behavior of the Bushes and the rest of the GOP establishment has shown that the Democratic and Republican party elites are one another's fake opposition, and that they have more or less the same agenda.

Which fell under the control of Michael Chertoff, one of the Top Ten most avaricious crony capitalists of all time (and one of the first who will have a future date with a lamppost). DHS has made him personally a very wealthy man at our expense (and our liberties).
