This was a deception to change the MSM narrative. Clintonian maneuver at its best. The speech, as I recall, took about 20 minutes. Buy half hour program times--some when the audience will be mostly female, some at times when the audience will be mostly men, and have Melania take five or six minutes to describe the controversy, pointing out how it would be virtually impossible for anyone to invent a completely original way to communicate the family history, captured in the over-vetted sentences. Then ask the viewers to decide what they think, before playing the whole speech.
Confront the silliness head on, and let her very engaging, very appealing personality, both in the proposed introduction and in the actual speech, work its dynamic potential.
This would both allow her to project her enthusiasm for the candidate, while making those carping about "plagiarism" look stupid. If the powers that be in the campaign doubt my take? Let them try the approach with a privately organized focus group, and see for themselves.
I have enough experience in the use of spontaneous TV, to be firmly convinced that this would be a very dynamic way to exploit the idiocy of those supporting Mrs. Clinton.

It is not plagiarism because no one owns those type of phrases or words which appear in speeches given by athletes, actors, students, anybody who was ever proud of what they accomplished. I think many live in a nitpicking, critical world of pure lunacy especially the disingenuous MSM.
The mainstream media is also a echo chamber, which is why its best to ignore their made up controversy and not give it more life. That’s the lesson.
this just occurred to me could the criticisms of melena Trumps speech been written and turned in before she even gave the speech. the attack on the speech seems to coordinated and fast in the old fashion print journalism side. I am wondering if the newspapers new about this a head of time and if some of the articles that were written could of been turned in for print before she even gave the speech. the important thing to look at is what time the Washington post and the new York times went to print with the story. another thing that needs to be looked at is where theses reporters were physically after the speech. I am betting that they were actually out schmoozing trying to dig up dirt in some cases and it can be proven that there pieces were written will before and then altered slightly by the editors before going to print......if this happened over the internet on web pages I can believe how fast it was caught and spread but for the newspapers that go to print I can not see how. Most news papers go to print at three or four in the morning I just cant see how the story could of made it to print

You are confusing the issue.
This is not about who owns the copyright to the words. It is not about an actionable cause based on plagiarism.
It is about an intentional use of Michelle’s speech AND WHY it was done.
Why can NO ONE point me to anyone else who has used this EXACT phrase in this EXACT way except Melania and Michelle

Ultimately, it’s Trump’s responsibility. Whatever staff he has chosen to vet the speech is responsible.
Media is going to pounce on anything, even if it’s not there. This wasn’t that big a deal, but an unforced gift to MSM. Hopefully, Trump’s team will learn and fix.
You are REALLY missing the point here. The point is this: Yes...it was a great speech...and she did a great job...and that is all that SHOULD matter. But...someone wanted to make sure that great speech was overshadowed by controversy.
You don't just disregard the fact there was sabotage. This was not done by accident...it was done on purpose....and it was not done with the knowledge of the Trump's. The question is WHY and WHO.

The speech was great. Melania could have spoken word for word Michelle and it would have been 10,000 times better.
