Police said an officer responded to a call about an armed disturbance at Second Street and Edgerton Drive about 1:30 p.m. The caller reported that someone in a vehicle was firing shots in the area.

Investigators said officers reached the scene about five minutes later and said several people jumped out of the vehicle. One of those people was taken into custody right away.

Police said that while a second officer at the scene tried to contact another fleeing suspect, shots were fired and the officer was hit. The officer was taken to a hospital with critical injuries.

Police said at least three people are in custody. They said there may be at least one other person out there.

Police on scene say the officer responded alone to a shots fired call. Kansas City, KS police officer Tom Tomasic said people are in custody. "We believe we have the right people in custody," he said.

Has the officer not been watching the news?

Well it’s just about all influenced by BLM anti-cop racism now, even if hard to measure in individual cases. The poisons of cop hatred and “they’re all out to kill black men” have been poured everywhere in recent years.

Hey the president just penned a letter to all law enforcement saying he has their backs.

Of course I suspect it is a target on their backs.

Probably just another cop-hater who put his pistol to where his beliefs are.
Satan won another convert to the path of hate.

Common crime very possible.

Although, if it was really instigated by a car of yutes just driving around randomly shooting, it’s possible those yutes wanted to draw the cops in hoping to start something.

One story seems to state that the actions happened at 2nd and Edgerton and the other story cites 22nd and Haskell in the housing complex.

What do you think?
