Ohio Gov. and former Republican presidential candidate John Kasich (R-Ohio) told an audience in Cleveland that he looks at immigration as an opportunity because Ohio has a “stagnant growth of population — we want people to come to Ohio.”

I agree with you. The “1965 Immigration Act” was/is a nightmare. Immigration is supposed to benefit the host country/us, not the other way around.
Think of all the economic activity, new prisons,more police hired,rape counselors ect.
Look John boy, buy less condoms in the schools.
We need to stop illegal immigration, have immigration by needs of the country, deport illegals and then yes we may have zero or negative population growth but robotics, less need for social services, and longer lifespans will ensure a superior quality of life for United States citizens.

Immigration always had been part of this country. We grew tremendously due to immigrants and natural growth (births minus deaths)

A technological and culturally inferior culture was overtaken by a superior technological culture. With immigration today we are seeing the opposite occur.
I wouldn't disagree that we've got them on technology. Whether we have the superior (in a Darwinian sense) culture is what remains to be seen.
Just make OHIO appealing to People who live in other States and they will move there. Most of them are already Americans.
Ok so how does he look at illegal immigration? Is he for open borders like Hillary and Obama... You can’t just say you want to secure the border but propose nothing that secures the border, you can’t just say you want to humanly deal with the 12 million illegals here without saying how making them legal will allow them to compete for limited jobs that legal citizens need and want.... It is easy to be a liberal...much harder to come up with conservative solutions.
Remove the state-imposed disincentives that discourage your hard-working people from reproducing.
