Turkey's power cutoff to Incirlik Air Base a problem for Pentagon
cnn ^ | July 19, 2016 | Barbara Starr

The US military is doing "prudent planning" in case it needs to move its anti-ISIS operations out of Incirlik Air Base in southern Turkey following the country's failed coup, several US defense officials told CNN Tuesday. The Turkish government cut off the power to the base after the coup attempt took place Friday, leaving it without a commercial power supply for four days and counting.

The Pentagon has been able to fully operate the base through generator power but said it would be difficult to continue indefinitely.

The Turks still have not given a clear explanation about why they cut the power to Incirlik.

So we are using $200 per gallon diesel in those generators.

If we had an actual commander-in-chief, that base would have power.

How?

I was being cynical... but I honestly would not doubt it.
It wont surprise me if this coup is Obama’s plot with Erdogan, to get american nukes handed off to his Islamist buddies...

Suspiciously like a nuclear “fast and furious” play I believe Bammy intends to complete before he leaves office. He is such a traitor to our great Nation.

“Turkey, like Vermont,is lost to the enemy.Time to cut it loose and treat it for what it is...a radical moslem cesspool. “

You are exactly right. The people of Turkey made a choice. They could have supported the military who would have eventually returned the government back to a secular democracy. But, the people chose a fundamentalist Islamist. So, as you stated, let’em wallow in their own cesspool. It’s time to choose sides and let the party begin....

I will not bet against you when it comes to nuclear “fast and furious”.

With the conventions and a couple of highly publicized killings for a smoke screen he will have it done and no headlines.

Hack his wife’s unlimited black credit cards and hold them hostage until power is restored...

cut the base power, we will give you a headache you never saw coming...

your wife’s wrath...

Maybe the Turks damaged their regional power grid when they threw the switch? Considering how many they’ve purged you can’t dismiss the possibility that the people who know how to do this stuff properly were purged already. I’d be looking for signs of a “Venezuala-style” economic collapse.

I’m pretty sure they are there, and agree completely. They should have been gone 10 years ago.

This IS The Most Important story to monitor, and it should be at the top of Breaking news until the situation is over.

The fissible material in those nukes could be used as dirty bombs that Islamists could leverage against western cities for all kinds of demands.

God help us.

Sounds like an open supermarket for ISIS to plunder. Just like benghazi.

The terrorists get the weapons, we get deniability.

What difference does it make if a few infidels get killed?

Damascus has been under an order of prophetic destruction for several thousand years. It's time is drawing close.

RAF Acrotiri isn’t very far away.
It could do with a lick of paint ,but would be more than useful on a temporary basis.
Somewhere to relocate the Nukes to and a handy place for an F22 Raptor Nest.
Just a thought.

Turkey is a democracy moving toward a theocracy. The mullahs may well be controlling the numbers on the streets.

Our Senators should very publicly (as publicly as they can make it) ensure that those nukes are either moved out or are accurately accounted for while this is all going on.

It should be made known that the responsibility for any going "missing" will be Obama's, and his alone.
