The speech writer offered to resign, not exactly a Hillary like behavioral pattern, but I wish it was!
As far as I know the speech writers explanation is authentic. It seems more plausible than intentionally copying Michelle Obama. What motive is there for "plagiarizing" a list of common platitudes in a particular order? The only other motive I could think of (and did think of last night) was to set Melania up. I feel embarrassed I entertained such a suspicion.
Seems to be a nothingburger after all. With the "It was plagiarism!" crowd looking stupid.
