I use to be a loyal listener of Rush. During the primaries in 2012, he was a big supporter of Romney. I occasionally listen to him since then.

Hannity has been talking about the Cruz speech tonight, and feels pretty strongly that Cruz hurt himself. Beck and Levin will continue their trajectories of supporting Cruz and denigrating Trump. Limbaugh will spin it both ways.
Yes, but Frank Luntz’s focus group was almost unanimous in their opinion that he would have been a sell-out to endorse Trump.
Perhaps they did not know that Cruz had made a pledge to support the nominee, that Cruz had marketed himself as a born again Christian anointed by God to run, etc...You make a pledge, you keep your word—it is scriptural! Shame on Cruz.

Not unexpected. Thanks for putting that up here. Cruz has a significant number of acolytes, but I don’t see any way their little movement gains ground with Cruz as the figurehead. Nothing wrong with the principles, but there is something wrong with the man at the top.

I know that, some are saying Reagan didn’t endorse Ford as if it is the same. Not at all the same and Cruz is certainly no Reagan.
If Cruz had not agreed to support the nominee and would have kept his attitude in check he could have pulled this off without endorsing Trump. As it has turned out he would have been better off if he had not given a speech at all.

It was a bunch of very confused people. They didn’t know what to make of any of this. There was measurable movement toward Trump as a result of the evening’s festivities.
