As a bunch of people were calling out for Trump, Cruz said he appreciated the enthusiasm of the NY delegation. Most commenters here missed the point. Cruz was snarking the entire assembly. Lots of people were calling for Trump, not just New Yorkers. Cruz was using the New York values dog whistle against everyone else supporting Trump.
