British police say they are investigating the attempted abduction of a serviceman at a Royal Air Force base in eastern England, saying they cannot discount it being a terrorism incident.
The serviceman, aged in his late 20s, was jogging on Wednesday and not in uniform when he was approached by two men at RAF Marham in Norfolk, one of whom shouted at him and tried to grab him.
He fought off the attacker and the second man, who was armed with a knife, went to help his accomplice, at which point the serviceman ran off. He was unhurt.
"I can confirm we are treating this as an attempted abduction and detailed enquiries are being carried out at the scene to establish the full circumstances," said Detective Superintendent Paul Durham.
The two men were described by police as being aged between 20 and 30 and of Middle Eastern origin in appearance.

If they would target small fry like that that how much more motivated might they be to get to Coalition servicemen.Getting info would probably be easy.A few years ago a Brit named Gary McKinnon succeeded in hacking into secret Pentagon computers and splashing classified stuff he found over the internet.It's a safe bet,I'd say,that jihadis have the same abilities...perhaps even having moles in Coalition forces.
This should be a red flad/warning to all our service men and women around the world, also. Do not walk, jog, cycle, etc. alone or unarmed. To leave our military unarmed today is to invite trouble. Jihadists are watching and preparing.
This Administration is not looking out for the best interests of Americans anywhere. Especially since Turkey wants that Muslim cleric.
I have been out of the military for decades. I still look somewhat fit and have the same haircut, but no one would mistake me for active duty. Still, I never go anywhere unarmed. In my home, I'm armed with at least a knife, and firearms are seconds away. Outside the home, I'm armed with at least a knife. It's the People's Republic of Maryland, so I don't carry a gun, but the knife is extremely accessible and the best I can do. I do not walk, jog, cycle, etc. alone or unarmed.

The suspects were described as possibly wearing hats. Nothing else is known about them or their motives.
Thank you for your service to our country. You have no idea how the average American appreciates your service. One of the things the left underestimates is the number of veterans and their families in the country that are patriotic.
