I just finished watching Donald Trump's speech tonight.
He's trying so hard to convince people he's a statesman. But I'm not fooled by what I just heard, and no one who works in education should be, either.
It's more obvious than ever that this man has a dangerous, disturbing vision of America. That he's committed to dividing us, cultivating fear, and exploiting frustration.
Tonight, Donald Trump showed exactly why we can't afford to let him near the White House.

Watching that speech tonight, [Wife], I thought a lot about you.
You do important work every day to make the world a better place. You fight to protect opportunity for all students. You prove time and time again that when educators come together, they transcend fear and bring about real progress. And you deserve a president who will fight for you.
So here's my commitment: For the next 108 days, I'm going to fight with every fiber of my being to make sure Donald Trump never sees the inside of the White House.

There is a candidate in this race who has dedicated her life to helping others. She's sacrificed to get where she is, and she's ready to do the job on Day One.
Trump? Despite his rhetoric tonight, I'm not sure he's made a sacrifice in his entire life. He cannot be our next president -- but every legitimate pollster thinks he's got a real chance. It's going to take everything we have to stop him.

I wish it wasn’t so, but the violence is real. Grew up on the East Coast, Maine and Massachusetts. Quiet streets and gentle breezes...but then I relocated to the West Coast and changed professions. The violence is real, the hate towards color is real, and I’ve a broken ankle as proof. My day to day requires interaction with hundreds of patrons, and the vast majority would rather kill me than follow a few simple, posted, laws. I didn’t know society was like this...but it is.
Dangerous, disturbing,exploiting, AND dividing. The big four.
I am personally nauseated by the fact that the education unions support the dumbocrat candidate of whatever election is at hand as a knee jerk reaction. It is simply unthinkable to them to even consider a Republican or conservative candidate.
It is well known that Randi "The Randy" Weingarten, the prez of the AFL-CIO, lusts for the Education Secretary spot in a Hillary administration. She has been using the teachers' unions and other unions as a "Get Hillary Elected" organ for years. That's where my dues money goes--on junk like that instead of being used to truly help teachers. Teachers are merely cash cows to the union, which gives lip service to fierce-sounding slogans while being in bed with the politicians all along.
The left is genuinely worried and they should be. They have the best known criminally corrupt person in America as their nominee. They should be more than worried. They should be utterly embarrassed.
I have to admit after Trump’s fine acceptance speech tonight I’m looking forward to the frumpy, pantsuited dowager waddling onstage, fake-pointing and grinning maniacally at people in the crowd she does not know, and taking the podium to pander to every minority and “victim” group in America. It’s going to be so entertainingly bad.

Don’t know who or what this person is (tho’ it does say), it is clear “IT” could use some education itself... DEDICATED and SACRIFICED are hardly the right words to describe Hillary Clinton...This is scary. We know that idiots from all over the country will vote for her but from the education field also?

The political mindset of most of the people in education is beyond belief.We could never understand how they could be such Lemmings and always follow the mantra of the Democratic Party.This is in part to the fact that we taught a REAL subject, SCIENCE.We both used the term that we were “Surrounded By Idiots” in our educational settings.The NEA is blinded by the Democratic feeley good symbolism over substance mantra.Core Curriculum is nothing but a government controlled program to dumb down the whole student population and rewrite the history of the United States yet most educators embrace it as manna from heaven.When we finished our tour of duty in NJ we returned to our roots in Pennsylvania ,secured our CCW permits which are unheard of in NJ, and became devote members of the NRA
instead of the NEA. Donald Trump is the answer to to getting this country back on track and regain the respect of the rest of the world that has been lost during the last 8 years of the Kenyan Fraud’s presidency.We also both look forward to seeing Hillary Clinton sporting an orange prison jumpsuit in the future but that won’t happen as there are two justice systems at play in this country.
I’m on the local school board, this is JUST the kind of stuff I need to use as I speak for America.

She mostly hides; the only time anyone sees her is in the commercials where she doesn’t actually speak, but some announcer claims she cares about children. As if caring about children is a job qualification.
During the convention, she will have to be up on stage, won’t she? Perhaps she will go into one of her coughing fits while she is trying to speak. Or she will go into another of those weird seizure episodes.

There are reasons she does not actually make many public appearances, and the only times she is seen are under controlled circumstances. There is the real possibility that the election, at least on the Dem side, is for whomever the vice-presidential nominee is. And watch for that to be one of the most unelectable, radical socialists ever, one who is dedicated to wiping out whatever rights we still have.
What will the effect be when coughing, seizing, screeching Hillary is finally viewed, unfiltered, by the public? Will that cause some people to think twice?
Did a teacher write that? There are more grammatical errors in this screed than there are ex-boyfriends in Taylor Swift’s lyrics. This is why the public education system is desperately in need of a flush. And break it up with a stick so it will go down.
