Just hours before Donald Trump was set to give his acceptance speech for the Republican presidential nomination in Cleveland, one of his third-party challengers rallied supporters in Stamford Thursday night.
About 150 people turned out to see Green Party presumptive presidential nominee Jill Stein at the Stamford Innovation Center. Nearly all in attendance were former supporters of Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders.
In a 45-minute speech reminiscent of the long, fiery, policy-heavy speeches delivered by Sanders during his campaign, Stein called on his former supporters to join her in continuing the political revolution he started.

150 :)
Wow, that says something. Means most likely Bernie’s supporters are really not all that happy.
Go Jill
sorry bout that Hill
She’d be better than $hillary.
You can be wrong 99% of the time and still have personal integrity.
Conservatives should support the Greens and Peace & Freedom.
Nader cost Al Gore, the 2000 election.
150 is more than Hillary often turns out. Ps: if I were a Bernie supporter, I’d vote for this third party leftist lady if I were wed to communistic politics. Or I’d vote for trump if I wanted my vote to count and help defeat the Corrupt Countess HilLIARy. Many Bernie supporters are very much against all the corruption Hillary entails. Some, I think a significant number, will vote for trump as long as he keeps saying he’s Mr Clean who will clean out the Obama- Hillary- Islamonazi infection afflicting Washington, D.C. They know trump is no commie but he has favored several leftist causes and a Bernie supporter can justify voting for trump as a “make government honest” vote.
Lucky commie Connecticut. Another red comes to town while a big one lives next door.
Stein is a red. She was at the Marxist hatefest known as “Left Socialism 2016” conference recently. It was not for Wiccans or Pecans.
Watermelon party - Green on the outside, red on the inside.
Don’t let the media fool you again.
Yep. I even donated to Nader that year when he was pondering dropping out. Sent him a check and a letter of encouragement to hang in there.
