I hate to admit it. But yes. He’s an amazingly smart dog, he knows all sorts of tricks, stays on command, when I tell him ‘no’ when he’s going somewhere-like to attack the bull next-door, he will put his head down and turn around trying to make me feel guilty. But he will listen.
Why he can’t learn to be potty trained is beyond me. He even got his therapy dog certification! When he was a puppy he had it down, and then conveniently forgot.
It could be because he’s very territorial, and always goes around marking where the cats have been. Or am I just a Yorkie mom making excuses :-)
Do you have one too?
We have had 2 Yorkies, both very smart. The male passed in 2001, 15 years old, just lost the female a few years back, she was 18.
It’s the problem with tiny dogs. I’ve had zero problems with dogs over 12 pounds. 3-7 pounderschave little control.
I don't co-habitate with a Yorkie, I just know many who do.
