I have lived in Richmond, Virginia for many years and can say without hesitation that Tim Kaines’s record has never received serious scrutiny.
They love him at the Richmond Times Dispatch - reporters and editorial page. They run press releases from his office as news. Their hard hitting reporters run articles without opposition quotes. THe local Polifact page claims him right - most of the time.
He used City funds to bus supporters to a political rally and somehow that was all OK.
He accepted more gifts from special interests and was never charges like Governor McDonald.
Here’s hoping that his record and history are closely examined.
This is why most politicians are politicians. The Benefits are absolutely unbelievable. Even the “legal” ones.
