The Dallas Police Department says job applications to the force have more than quadrupled since a man shot and killed five police officers and wounded nine others and two civilians.

I look at this as the same as the men that showed up at the military recruiters office after pearl harbor.....some of the best people are motivated to do the best after the worst has happen. real Americans don’t run from a problem they head strait into it...

Maybe it’s just that the economy is so bad that whenever five jobs open up, thousands of applications come in.
He said “put in an application” like you’re going to work at Walmart. Not that easy to be a cop. Most departments want at least a BA in Criminal Justice, some want a BS. Then after you get that off to the police academy. On top of that you have to pass a lenthy background investigation. So it’s a a lot than coming on down and putting in an application.
