Actually, I did not know that aspect of him. I only see him rush to defend them, to vote with them, and attack his own party and supporters time and again.
Most famously his absolute vicious responses during his campaign when our side tried to criticize Obama.
That completely shut me down regarding support for that guy in anything. It’s almost like a mental trigger with him; he goes into attack mode when you criticize the Dems.
I didn’t mean “grease” in the monetary sense, but rather as you said, in the support of our adversaries.
