Colorado Town's Water Tests Positive for THC, Active Ingredient in Marijuana
Good Morning America via Yahoo ^ | July 23rd, 2016 | BRIAN MCBRIDE

Officials have urged residents in a small Colorado town not to consume their water after several wells tested positive for THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.

So far no illnesses have been linked to the water in Hugo -- a town of around 700 people located roughly 100 miles southeast of Denver -- according to officials.

The announcement comes after a local company was testing its own water and got a positive result. Local law enforcement was then notified and further testing in other locations took place, which revealed additional positive results, reports ABC Denver affiliate, KMGH.

"At this point we're not taking anything off the table," Captain Mike Yowell with the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office told KMGH. "We're looking at all angles here."

THC is fat or alcohol soluble and not water soluble. Many uninformed stoners have tried swallowing a bud and felt nothing. Although this does sound like a major problem, THC has to be digested with a high concentration of fat or alcohol for the body to process it.

Get a grip.

CBD is not THC and is legal.

The warning letter issued to the company by the FDA was because they were adding melatonin to the soft drinks.

I don’t need to “get a grip”

I want to know how to order the drink online, but I see that it is not listed there.

I think that’s DMSO, di-methyl sulfoxide, that you are referring to.

This is prima facie proof everyone in Colorado is high.

I once said the same thing and Colorado Freepers got angry at me.

I visited Colorado 6 months ago and just saw so many stoned-out hippy types, particularly young men. Really discouraging. My friend's wife, who is very social, would chat with smart- looking young women we came across, and ask them what the deal was. The almost universal response was "yeah, its pretty hard to date because more and more guys are just potheads and losers."

Only a small sampling from my visit to Denver and Colorado Springs.

AND - we get to support these losers when they don’t work, go on disability, and go senile at a young age.

I’m for no limits on drugs - just do NOT make society pay, in any way, shape, or form, for your own stupidity. If users fully suffered the consequences, it would be self-limiting problem.

It’s not true. Doesn’t need to be posted anymore but we’ll see it 15 more times. KKTV 11 news confirmed this morning it was a mistake due to faulty instruments or a hoax. Move on. Colorado doesn’t need anymore BS than we already have. We’re not all bumbling around stoned out here and it’s not in our water either!

Perhaps I am gullible. I thank you for your generosity. Gullible about some things is better than mindless and drugged out about everything. I STILL loathe druggies and consider recreational stoners a waste of oxygen.

My sister almost died from it as a child while swimming in a lake that was full of DHMO.

I think that’s where Dad lost all his guns in that boating accident, too.

If it is that dangerous, it should be BANNED!
I say no more DHMO in the world!
Fish, on the other hand, do well when immersed in it. Why? They have gills that filter the DHMO.
