Possibly three SC appointments for the next President.
Hence the urgency and need to vote for Trump. If Hitlary gets 3 scotus appointments this country is over as we understand it.
The good die young.
Kennedy, Breyer, and Ruth Bader Ginsburg are all getting up there in years.
Scalia’s seat on the court will be filled in short order by the next president. .Then supposed these three decide to retire in the next four years. Then you could see the next president definitely tilt the court one way or the other.
If Hillary appoints these justices, then the liberals will control this country for the next few decades. The courts have devolved into a super legislature, and will impose their utopian liberal world view on all of us, if that happens.
Impeach Roberts and that makes 4. Too bad Cruz won’t be one of the replacements.
The swinger Kennedy was a replacement for the rejected Robert Bork. AK is just another nuanced schmuck in black robes.
Actually, Kennedy was the third choice, and replaced the pot-smoking Douglas Ginsburg, whose nomination was very short-lived.
And (4), National Reconfirmation Vote of the People every four years (to coincide with the presidential elections). Twelve years is entirely too long to suffer with these Commie Pricks that get on the court. I am less worried about Kennedy, Breyer and the Female Capo , than I am about ROBERTS, the FAT YENTA, and the WISE LATRINA. Death will come to the first three soon, but the other three can do lots of irreparable damage due to their age.
Given how close we are to a Dem majority country due to entitlements, you REALLY need to rethink that.
That's a good thing. Reckless lies and corrupt behavior should never be a prerequisite for a Supreme Court Justice.
Yep 3 picks for the next president.
Basically the entire country is at stake.
Well, it depends -— the next President may “appoint their conscience” :-)
Hillary said Ted was right.
You need a constitutional amendment for that.
(2) Two-thirds majority confirmation in the Senate, straight up-or-down vote. No more of these filibusters or changing the rules.
A two/thirds majority is 67 votes. That's more than the 60 needed for cloture to end a filibuster.
(3) Constitutional amendment that there should only be seven justices. We don't need more than 7 SCOTUS justices!
The size of the court is set by law, not the Constitution. You could set the size to seven or eleven or whatever size you want. Of course the court could become seven members by default when the next opening occurs.
