I am grateful for the huge sacrifice he made, in making Americans aware of just how much snooping/recording of its citizens the gov’t was/is doing. He appears to me to be a genuine American hero, but, OTOH, who really knows what’s true or not, in terms of information, dis information, etc. these days...

I have always felt Edward ran for his life because even though he was a small man in the corrupt system he had no where else to go but out of the US. He is an innocent American that saw he was going to be the Fall Guy and take the hit for someone higher up (or many for that matter). He knows how our government is corrupt and he had no one to go to for help.

I could be totally wrong but it's this gut feeling I have about him.
