One of the great fraternity pranks involved the Lionel logo.

Back in the Eighties, a fraternity painted the Lionel logo with the Lionel official colors on a commuter railroad bridge in the Philadelphia suburb of Bryn Mawr just a block away from the station. It was so good that the owner of the line, Amtrak, did not paint it over, but kept it preserved in pristine condition. Some pranks are for the ages.

I’d love to see a picture of that bridge. Those types of fraternity pranks are the best... No harm, just good hearted fun.

Bryn Mawr, the old Main Line! I miss it!

I used to ride the old “Paoli Local” to Villanova University, many moons ago. Remember the train guys in their uniforms who would walk up and down the aisles of all the cars, shouting out the next stop, (”Paoli, Malvern, Exton, Devon, Strafford, Wayne...”), then stopping to collect your tickets, and sometimes punching your ticket with their hole puncher tool?
