The Hill ^ | July 22, 2016 | Harper Neidig

Donald Trump is reportedly planning on bankrolling super-PACs that would oppose Gov. John Kasich (R-Ohio) and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), two of his former primary opponents who snubbed him during the party’s convention this week...

Trump signaled such a plan in a speech on Friday morning, the day after the close of the convention, while blasting Cruz for refusing to endorse him in remarks before the convention Wednesday night...

Did he say what his point is? He needs to defeat Hillary. There is no reason to alienate Kasich or Cruz supporters at this point, IMO.

He’s being a man with testosterone-remember those? they get even, solve disputes with their fists, say what they think.

it’s the emasculated MSM that makes everyone think Trump has to be PC. They couldn’t be more wrong.

My but he is really good at psyops! Don’t you love the way he sort of tosses that out off-handedly? That will keep the never trump crowd quiet for the duration of the campaign. Then if the ever do run again he can bury them and say I told you so. Brilliant.

Beat hillary. Focus Mr. Trump

Cruz and KaSick SHOULD NOT get anything but venom for what did. It seemed an awful lot like a coup attempt with that Cruz speech. The creeps are on the run, despised, let's keep it that way.

The message is loud and clear. Try that BS on Mr. Trump, and pay the price.

Why would you want it any other way? This gains him votes, as folks across the political spectrum realize he really is cleaning house....and the slime that's getting kicked out of the Republican Party prefers hillary.

This could be a “the bombing begins in 10 minutes’ moment.

Trump likes to make statements, create drama, get free press, and see what sticks.

LOL, I like to watch old movies, especially westerns, to see some of them.

I could imagine how John Wayne movies would be critiqued today - he’s too violent, doesn’t show enough emotion - ought to cry now and then, and of course, his movies are too dark!

If George Bush (son of Jeb) runs against Cruz for senate, who will run as the Trump candidate?

excellent post, grania.

If Trump is promising to protect us from our enemies, why wouldn’t he show us he takes out his own as well. And Cruz and Kasich are working to elect Hillary m therefore are Trump’s enemies.

Bloomberg, citing one unidentified source

Same unidentified source that said Trump offered Kasich the VP spot and would let him run the country?

Same unidentified source that said Trump changed his mind from Pence at the last minute?

I don’t think this is Trump, I think this is DNC trying to make Trump look petty, which will backfire rapidly....look at what is happening at the DNC and they haven’t even pounded the gavel yet....and they said it was the RNC that was going to be tied in knots....

....but I hope those Bernie supporters burn the building down with Hillary in it!!!

Ted Cruz finished himself off. There’s no need to expend another ounce of time or energy taking him down.

Starting tomorrow, I refuse to mention his name, or make any comment about him, until after Trump wins the election.

Your orange pantsuit reply reminds me that this morning it dawned on me: What would Obama pardon Hillary for? There’s so much, he couldn’t very well cover it all!

This is coo-coo, unless he is shilling for Hillary, which I doubt.

Yup, I agree what he’s saying is a warning to his adversaries. Trump is a planner and clever, yet so many don’t understand who he is and how he built his business empire.
