For too long Republicans were told to shut up and take what ever is dished out, and to never say a bad thing about the Democrats.
I wonder if our nation would be in the mess it is in today if we really had an opposition party, one that would go after the Democrats when they were wrong.
There is a time to play nice and a time to attack, and from today until the election, it is a time to attack.
Too many times the Republicans tried this, only to give the Clintons time to run out the clock, dribble out the bad news and 'move on'. The media supported them. In this case, Donald is trumping both the Dems & the media with his ridicule.
If you are a master at heckling, as Donald is, then you add more things for the Dems to respond to and divide their attention. There is no defense to ridicule, according to Alinsky. I think that this needs to be updated - there is no defense to ridicule done right. Donald is doing it right.
The idea that time is on our side is unrealistically optimistic, when the media can go into full defense & distract mode to fix any trouble. Either we fight, or we lose.

I don’t think you are right about that. He brings attention to the mess while the media down plays it.
