As a 20 year USAF retiree, I agree. If Hildebeast is elected, I believe she is so bad, she would have us longing for the good old days of the Obungler.

I was there. Spent the morning throwing up and trying to get the smoke out of my rear! Sat through Hillary’s speech at the National VFW Convention. Sat next to three women from NC who despised her more than I do...and that is hard. If you knew nothing about her you would have thought she would be a great President. One lie right after another saying all the right things about veterans and what needs to be done to help them. She listed a long list of accomplishments for vets for which she claimed reponsibility. If we had a balanced press they would have torn her speech to pieces. Very little clapping throughout the speech. The VFW Commander In Chief made it clear before she arrived that she was a guest and to be civil and people were as you would expect any group of military folks to be. Tomorrow we will hear from Trump...we’ll see how that goes.
Excellent eyewitness account! So glad she was cooly received. I look forward to Trump’s remarks tomorrow. I read there’s a poll claiming Gary Johnson of the Libertarian Party has the plurality of the Military vote. I find that difficult to accept. The poll was of active military, I believe.

I had a young military guy here tell me he was voting for Johnson because Johnson’s backers hope to split the vote and neither will have enough electoral college votes and the House will vote in Johnson.
Speaking of her face. I was about 30 meters from both her and the large projection screen but the woman next to me said to look at the two bright red marks on her cheek. They attempted to cover with makeup but it was very noticeable.

I agree. I have this feeling that tomorrow could be part of something special with Trump. I once heard Lee Greenwood sing “God Bless the U.S.A.” followed by President Reagan speaking to National Guard officers. Would love for the one tomorrow to come close to that.

This morning the VFW heard from both Trump and his VP Mike Pence. Very strong standing applause on introductions. As yesterday the speech was geared for the Vet by telling them what they wanted to hear. He used a teleprompter but occasionally went off to share a oneliner with a smile. He looked tired to me but still has a long way to go. Much talk from Trump about how the VA is badly broken but the speaker before was the head of VA talking about all the wonderful statistics of progress and how they had fired over 3000 employees. of course they could have been anyone. Trump said with him President and you call VA a person will answer or it will go to him at the WH. He said that might be a bit of a stretch but wanted to emphasize responsiveness. The only standing ovation before the end was for stopping the influx of Syrians. He said we are importing trouble just like Europe. Mike Pence got standing ovation when Trump pointed out that Pence’s Dad and Son both served in military. (Please excuse errors as sent from Kindle).

I was hoping you’d be able to post an eye-witness account! I am wondering if HRC received any SO’s yesterday. I did read today that some vets chanted, “Lock her up!” like at the RNC Convention.
Yes they did chant that and Trump said she was here yesterday why didn’t you folks do it. He’s very comfortable responding to the floor. Yesterday they stood and clapped when she arrived and departed...nothing in between. She also gave away operational security (OpSec) information when she said Tim Kaine’s son was deploying to NATO today.
