I heard yesterday (either here or on the radio) that the Party was starting to realize that the optics of today's list of speakers was certifying their reputation as the Cop-Killer Party, and that they would be forced to include a couple of legitimate representatives of law enforcement to counter this. McLay doesn't sound like it, though.

I just finished writing in another thread how the DNC made some incredible missteps, by placing center stage all these left-wingers & their rhetoric. It has been a total turn-off to anyone remotely mainstream.
Even 20 years ago the Dems were pretty liberal. Now they look like a party of total crackpots.
