Ted Cruz Favorability Rating Collapse Confirmed in National and Ohio Post-RNC Convention Polls

Ted Cruz’s failure to endorse rival Donald Trump for president at last week’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio has apparently caused his favorability rating among GOP voters to collapse, according to a national survey and an Ohio poll.

An NBC News/Survey Monkey nationwide poll released Tuesday and a PPP survey of Ohio Republicans released Monday confirms the shocking collapse in Cruz’ favorability rating among Republican voters following the convention seen in a CNN/ORC poll released Monday.

CNN/ORC:

“Cruz’s move, however, appears to have backfired. While 60% of Republican voters had a positive impression of the former presidential candidate before the convention, just 33% have one now.”

NBC News/Survey Monkey:

“Ted Cruz, who scored a strong round of boos when he declined to endorse Trump in his speech to the RNC, was not viewed kindly by Republicans voters. Though Cruz finished second in the GOP primary race, just 28 percent of members of his own party now view him favorably; 68 percent now view him unfavorably. Clearly, his performance at the GOP convention was not received well by his party.”

PPP Ohio:

“The biggest loser from the convention is Ted Cruz though. He has an 18/65 favorability rating with Ohio voters, making him by far and away the least popular figure in our poll. Even among Republicans he’s at just 23/61. We asked GOP voters who they would support in a hypothetical primary contest between Trump and Cruz, and Trump wins out 61-19.”

At that point, he was the GOPe. He wasn’t being bullied. He was sucking up to the elites.

While wearing a paisley robe, no less.

But TEDious had Neil Bush come try to rescue him and he heeled to Yeb! when summoned. The rift with the Bushes is illusory. He is their protege. A sugar coating for globalism and the NAU methinks.

“And I unsubscribed from his email list (that’s gotta sting)”

Won’t matter. In the last year, I unsubscribed from his email lists 30 or 40 times. Still get the garbage.

Remember, this is the one Canadian who just doesn’t know when to quit.

Otherwise, you got the Bible thumping, flag waving and the Constitution chatter, but failed to see that in fact Fredo never harmed a hair on the head of the globalists or their agenda, in the Senate.

If you want to really prove this point, all you need is this, which proves literal treason on his part.

What the bleeding hell are you talking about?

The Cruz team insulted Melania, Trump never insulted his own wife, so I am assuming you are talking about twee Teddy the TRAITOR.

Are you going to vote for Trump/Pence or not ?

Cruz’s father assailed Trump repeatedly, thereby injecting himself into the line of fire. Cruz conveniently ignored that, also.

“Instead, he will now drift off like smoke.”

Alas, he will remain in DC and linger like a fart in an elevator.

Teddy disgraced himself, in SO many different ways, they all should have embarrassed you!

TRAITOR TEDDY's team went after Melania FIRST!

Are you voting for Trump, come November or not?

“assailed”?

“Someone” released semi-nude photos of Melania Trump, from ten years prior when she modeled, and Trump re-tweeted side-by-side photos of his gorgeous wife and the not-so-gorgeous Heidi.
Cruz’s pappy started sticking his oar in, and Trump shut him down.

There was a good article here the other day explaining this, it’s been discussed here for the umpteenth time, yet you guys still pretend to be offended.
Trump got tired of oily Felito dogging him & stealing his material, and then sneaking up behind him, slapping him in the back of the head, then running away.

Good riddance to `Ted’ Cruz.

No one is “bullying” Ted. TRUMP gave him a slot in
primetime to give his speech. - If a person PLEDGES to
endorse the winner, they keep their word. Cruz did not.
No excuses.

I voted for Cruz in our primary. Now I’m sorry I did. I
was raised that you keep your word; even if it is to your
hurt. - I do not intend to vote for Cruz for anything again.
Anybody else can do as they wish.

Cruz can make a living for his family lawyering - a good
living. I’m done.

Cruz could have been diplomatic and refused to speak. Tacky (like the Bushes and Romney have been), but far from the terminal stupidity on display for all to see. His speech was a slow-motion political suicide.

This Texan will have to think long and hard if she will vote for him in 2018.
