Who Democrats really want a single-issue election? Support the 2nd amendment, support the constitution, or reject it? Do they really think that a majority of American voters would vote to reject the constitution? Even if they could be convinced to undermine one amendment to the exclusion of the rest, would a majority of voters vote for someone wanting to disarm American citizens? Leave them to the mercy of terrorists, gangs, and criminals? Leave them dependent upon police that many despise? Besides, what have gun laws accomplished except to disarm minorities in urban areas? Their rates of gun crimes are incredible. Gun laws are racist, many were even implemented for that very reason. Blacks cannot own or carry guns in Chicago, New York, DC, Los Angeles. How’s that working out for them in their neighborhoods?

Nothing far-fetched about that, at all.

The media working 24/7 to undermine it could easily result in at least a substantial plurality rejecting that "old, tired document written by dead white guys".
