At the DNC, Michelle Obama put on her victimhood hat one more time and declared, “I wake up every morning in a house that was built by slaves.” It’s not a new line, but an ongoing mantra. Back in 2009, Michelle whined that, “Many slaves who couldn’t enter the building worked to create the building.”

What is the true record of the construction of the White House? Did slaves play a significant role or is this just some more made up BS by victims like Moosechelle Obama?
They sure did work hard doing everything. What, with only being 12%(?)of the population, and only 6% doing the really hard labor if every black male worked? What happened since?
There were a few slaves who worked in the WH who were paid regular full pay for their labor. There were also free blacks working on the WH.
In point of fact the majority of free blacks in the colonies always exceeded the number of slaves and some of the largest slave owners were themselves free blacks. Additionally, there were substantial numbers of white slaves in the colonies.
The prez says he wants to have a discussion about slavery but he does not.

Africans were good at one thing back then. They were good at capturing people from enemy tribes and selling them to slave traders...a win-win for them. That’s the part of history ignored by modern racists when hiding behind the excuse of slavery 150 years ago.

The current building she is waking up in was rebuilt during the Truman administration. No slaves then. There were other rebuilds in the past. The vast majority of the building dates back to that Truman rebuild. There is plenty more here.
