Putin has publicly stated he already has Hillary's emails that were obtained from a third party, Guccifer, who had hacked into her system and downloaded data, which Hillary denies happened.
Guccifer has already been granted immunity from prosecution to cooperate with the FBI.

I heard no request from Trump to the Russkies to hack Clinton’s servers. He asked that they “find” the lost email that is, widely assumed, they have. Only, a search of their servers is required.
