I’ve only been here since 1998, but in the eighteen plus years I have been here, you are the most obtuse individual I’ve met.
A PRIVATE BUSINESS MADE A BUSINESS DECISION TO ONLY PASS ON 14 CENTS OF THE 60 CENT DROP IN IT’S COST OF PRODUCTION.
In this instance you are trashing the state because it allows a free enterprise system to exist. Granted it does all sorts of things to taint that, but those issues are not the problem here.
You are confronted with something you don’t like, so you try to blame it on something else. It isn’t working.
California’s draconian laws didn’t cause this. Get over it.
“...allows a free enterprise system to exist.” How generous of the great government, duly elected by its citizens, of Kalifornia. They allow freedom. Is that what Kaliforna has? Free enterprise? Wow, now I get your fixation on fairness.
So, for the sake of acuity, I will drop trying to link the slow to drop gas prices and the resultant unfair prices to government actions. Plus, I am agreeing that the companies did not lower their margins, I agree with your math, it seems correct, my public school education math confirms it. Plus, I am agreeing that the companies took advantage of the situation to wring out some extra money from you.
Please tell me what the fair price, or fair margin, is. Surely that is, by your own standards, on topic.
