This is a survival mechanism built in during the Cold War, in the event that Washington was decapitated without warning in a nuclear strike. NORAD continues down the list until it finds a capital P-Principle, who provides that identifier and assumes the duties of the Commander in Chief.

PrincipAl, you "journalist".

It's pretty hard to take someone seriously when they don't use the correct wording. They DID go to school, didn't they? This is a difference the scribbler of this screed should have learned in grade school, for heaven's sake!

Well Hillary’s husband Bill actually lost the nuclear codes for an unspecified period of time according to an interview I heard on Hannity today with some military guy who used to handle the football.

Same Clinton that was Secretary of State without accessing any classified info?

“Hillary Clinton made history by being the first woman nominated by a major party for president of the United States”

Notice they keep saying “major party.” They forget Jill Stein is running in the Green Party. I think they are a major party.

I wonder if in Britain, when Thatcher became PM, if the Press went Gaga because a woman was PM. Somehow I think not.

HilLIARy is projecting onto others. She'd sell the codes in an instant if the price were right.

She is, to me, the epitome of liberalism.

To her, and liberals like her, they think that there is a large enough subset of the population (and sadly, I think they are right) who do not have the mental capacity or desire to retain any information past a single hour or day, and it is a large enough subset of the electorate to get them elected.

They know they have a compliant media on their side.

So they can pretend like yesterday never happened, and those things last week never existed, and those thing that happened last year were a complete fantasy.

It explains why, to liberals, history doesn't matter. History is irrelevant. It is why Orwell's "1984" is, for them, a manual, not a cautionary tale. They take to heart, seriously and with purpose OBrien's assertion in his novel: "Who controls the past controls the future. Who controls the present controls the past."

See, she is counting on the fact that a significant number of people are going to hear this quote about Trump not being trusted with the nuclear codes, and not just forgetting, but never actually knowing (or caring) in the first place that Hillary has already shown she not only cannot be trusted with a security clearance, but that she actually went out of the way to circumvent the regulations on the handling of classified materials. It wasn't an accident. She expended great time and effort to try to go around those regulations.

Nobody, not her, not anyone on the Left side of the aisle in the government, not the media, not the GOPe, nobody, is going to raise their hand and say "Hey everyone, listen to me! This woman cannot be trusted with classified material! She has purposely put it at risk, knowing full well what what she was doing! How can she be trusted with 'The Codes'?"

And even if someone does say it...the intended recipients of such information aren't going to listen.

It is things like this that make me feel we are finished as a country.

I read that guy’s story. Buzz Patterson. “Dereliction of Duty.”

Tells you all you need to know about the Clintons.

Hillary is just projecting all of her faults onto her opponent. That is how the UniParty roles.

The more pictures of Kaine I see, the more my “Gaydar” goes off...

First time I saw his pic mine did too. Still not convinced he isn't.

Me too. Now the question is "Where in History did we take a wrong turn?"

I have several favorite points in history where I think we took a wrong turn. What's yours?
