Donald Trump held another sold out rally today after the Democratic convention. This time the Republican candidate told the crowd he’s changing his tactics and taking off the gloves.
The crowd was chanting “lock her up” again at lawbreaker Hillary Clinton.
Trump answered his supporters.
“I was saying let’s just beat her on November 8th, but you know what? You know what? I’m starting to agree with you. I’m telling you. You know it’s interesting every time I mention her everyone screams, “Lock her up! Lock her up!” And you know what I do? I’ve been nice. But after watching that performance last night, such lies, I don’t have to be so nice anymore. I’m taking the gloves off, right? Yes?

I doubt if Hillary will debate. The DNC and the media will come up with a way for her to weasel out off it.
My Godparents (both RIP 2011) both lived in Jamaica Estates not far from where Donald grew up and may have known his family.
But the accent, body language, verbal mannerisms, facial expressions, all of it were exactly as we see Donald today.

Absolutely! I was born in Jamaica Hospital before it was a Trump hospital (I think). I grew up in Rosedale and South Ozone Park and, indeed, whatever his origins - NYC is a hellavu place to come from - he is the Babe Ruth of Politics!!!

My family went to Walken’s Bakery when we were young! A German-American bakery that the Irish Americans enjoyed. The Italian and Jews hung out, the Irish and German hung out. I compromised; I married a nice Italian American although of Irish-Jewish background.
I doubt Christopher is a Republican (who could withstand the pressure??) but his accent, his cadences, his rough moxie are very familiar to me. I see it in Trump everytime he opens his yap.

I think my personal favorite performance by Christopher Walken was when he portrayed writer Whitley Streiber in ‘Communion’.

I wish he would try and play a normal character once in a while. He started out as a very sensitive juvenile and classical actor in the late 60-70s.
He can still be seen playing juvenile delinquents in the brilliant New York City series ‘Naked City’ circa 1961-62.
He's amazing in Deer Hunter and The Dogs of War.
Woody Allen fired him years ago because he would not follow the script. As a playwright, I identify more with Allen than the wonderful Walken.

Social media has been a game changer. The more the MSM ignores the big stories of the day, the lower their ratings will go.
