Donald Trump to Get National Intelligence Briefings Immediately
The Hollywood Reporter ^ | July 29, 2016 | Ryan Parker

"There is no stipulation anywhere that requires a security clearance for a presidential candidate. The fact that they're a candidate qualifies them," says James R. Clapper Jr., the director of National Intelligence.

Donald Trump will begin to get intelligence briefings now that he is the official GOP candidate for president.

Both Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton will get briefings as soon as next week, James R. Clapper Jr., the director of National Intelligence, said Thursday during the Aspen Security Forum.

Although Trump is a notorious tweeter and Clinton has been on the hot seat for her email server, Clapper said there is "no hesitation" to brief either candidate.

"And the reason for that is ... there is a long tradition that the intelligence community, at the appropriate time, and now is the appropriate time since both candidates have been officially anointed, both camps will be reached out to and offered briefings," Clapper said.

It will be up to both camps on whether they want to "accept" the information, he said. Teams have already been put in the place to meet with both Trump and Clinton.

"There is no stipulation anywhere that requires a security clearance for a presidential candidate. The fact that they're a candidate qualifies them," Clapper said.

The national intelligence director said it is not up to him to decide whether the two candidates are "suitable" for the classified information, he is just to deliver it.

The voters will decide who will be "cleared for everything," he added.

Kind of what I was thinking.

Of course the grey alien would not ‘say’ anything, but telepathically transmit the statement, right?

;)

My prediction: Hillary will leak classified information and blame it on Trump.

While this is the current state of affairs, it is an extremely serious defect in American politics. The idea behind it is that a security clearance requirement for an elected office could override the voters’ choice. However, as we have just witnessed with the FBI and the Hildabeast, the government doesn’t even apply the national security laws to government appointees. Seemingly, the government doesn’t give a damn about national security anymore for select individuals and the general public that supports those privileged individuals doesn’t give a damn either. What a mess the country is in.

Mr. Trump would be wise to take everything they tell him with many ‘grains of salt’.

Although IF there are any good people left that brief at that level, they might be very happy to be able to tell the truth to someone who actually cares, actually wants to know the truth and is a patriot.

My gosh, you are right! They must be delivered in person, nothing in writing, certainly not in email. She will just have to remember it.

The fact that she is able to get these briefings, thanks to idiotic voters, is frightening.

Although Trump is a notorious tweeter ........................................ And this implies what? OH, he’ll boast and tell us everything? Not Trump, when it comes to USA, he won’t sell it out.

Pat Paulsen was a far better candidate than Cankles and we thought he was a joke. Do you think they will both get the same information or will they favor Hillary?

Exactly. Once he hears what’s going on, it’ll be time to get to serious work.

The only feasible solution with the presidency is to persuade the voters that a charlatan treacherous fraud like Shrillary must never be allowed in that position. Unfortunately, we’ve already endured 8 years of Clinton and 8 years of Obama presidencies, so public standards and expectations are seriously lowered.

JFK flat lied about a “missile gap” after he was briefed.

I cannot describe to you the horrible feeling I had when I read your post, and I have no doubt that you are 100% correct.

Trump has a certain way of talking, (calls things ‘classy’ or ‘sad’, for example) that comes through in his tweets. I have read them and feel that they are genuine.

“There is no stipulation anywhere that requires a security clearance for a presidential candidate. “

Now I can finally stop having to post this information on a daily basis to freepers who think candidates are required to get a security clearance.

Yep. Would not be surprised if Trump was fed false intel in the hopes of slipping him up.

Like at a debate, Trump: “we need to stop the terrorist actions of the Peoples Liberation Army of Lichtenstein....”

The book Store;

I was walking in town and I saw that there was a “Muslim Book Store.” I was wondering what exactly was in a Muslim book store, so I went in.

As I was wandering around taking a look, the sales assistant gave me the stink eye but asked if he could help me.

I imagine I didn’t look like his normal clientele, so I asked, “Do you have a copy of Donald Trump’s book on his U.S. immigration policy regarding Muslims and illegal aliens?”

The assistant said, “Kiss my ass, get out, and stay out!”

I said, “Yes, that’s the one. Do you have it in paperback ?”

One of the candidates has a history of mishandling classified material in an egregious and reckless manner. This article is about whether the OTHER candidate is qualified to get classified material. Does ... not ... compute...
