The new US national Olympic team’s opening ceremony uniform design raised quite a few eyebrows around the world because some of its components bear a striking resemblance to the Russian flag.
On July 29 Ralph Lauren and the United States Olympic Committee proudly unveiled the design of the US team’s 2016 Opening Ceremony uniforms.
But while many people rushed to praise the stylish look of the new garments, others were quick to point out one very strange detail – the fact that the color pattern of athletes’ striped T-shirts sticking out of their buttoned-up blazers clearly resembles the Russian national flag.
And while the color sets of the two countries’ flags are quite similar, the way the stripes on the US athletes’ outfits are aligned – exactly like the white, blue and red bars on the Russian flag — it looks either like a very strange coincidence or a rather embarrassing accident. Who knows, maybe Russia’s next Olympic outfit will be featuring stars and stripes!
Russian athletes are raised freaks. Putin is a 5’2” midget with the Napoleon complex.
What did you expect. The US Olympic team is Ralph Lauren sponsored. At least they aren’t Dolce Havana.

Well what happens when some of these athletes start wearing a BLM t-shirt or badge or symbol? Applause?
Wait till next week, at least one goofball on MSNBC will blame this on “Trump’s disturbing and undisclosed links to Russia.” I could see someone like Ed Schultz or Cenk Uygur (Young Turks) doing this.
Even though he has nothing to do with it. Mitt was the republican with any direct links to the Olympics, and that was decades ago. For some of the #NeverTrumps, facts don’t really matter.
Forget the olympics. Swimmers doing the back stroke in open sewage? They were made for each other.
I’m more outraged at the Polo logo on the uniforms, geez why don’t they do it right and put advertisements all over the uniform like they do in soccer.
WE had HUGE problems with his Olympic uniforms at the last summer Olympics also can’t remember exactly what it was but there was an uproar!!!

I heard about them taking the flag from the City Hall. At first I thought it was a joke.

There’s only so many ways to stack red, white and blue.

There’s no incompetence, he did exactly what he wanted, won the medal count at home. Doping will always be caught eventually, but nobody cares about eventually, he won the medal count during, that’s when people were looking.
Olympics have been too far from what I grew up watching for a while. And I don’t like the branding on what’s supposed to be a national uniform. It reminds me of that meme of our flag with the stars replaced by corporate logos.

There is not a single article of clothing on any of those four gershes I would wear to take out the garbage. And in my day, if any “man” was caught wearing anything that dorky, he’d find himself in a dumpster.
That did it! I will NOT turn on the Olympics at any time this summer.
