Cessna makes business jets that fly at 44k feet. A famuly member of mine helped design them, and was in charge of building them.

I agree it was much less crazy, but it was crazy enough. 60’x 100’ is pretty tiny from 2000’ and I wonder how much “science went into the cardboard box catch zone. I was impressed with both the stupidity and balls of the stunt. Then again I have kids and a wife to support.

The net was 100 feet wide. He didn’t hit the middle. Looks to me maybe about 20 feet from the edge. Whew!
