As Fox News changes without Ailes, I wonder if Ailes has one more rodeo in him. Reportedly ( have no idea if it is confirmed) Hannity, O’Reilly and Greta can follow him out the door contractually.
A recent Daily Beast piece speculated he could get backing easily and named Newsmax as an operation they possibly could use as a vehicle.
Times are different now though, I don’t know if you can get a new cable channel off the ground and get carriage in any meaningful way. An over the top streaming service won’t be as influential in the near term.
If Fox goes as another CNN, it would be kind of funny if Comcast Universal turned MSNBC over to Ailes.
