Why? Because this NY Post piece is feeding the liberal mainstream media narrative that Trump's core supporters are nothing but a bunch of backward hillbillies and that more educated people should know better than to throw in with that lot. That is the underlying message.

I thought that, portraying Trump's supporters in the worse light possible was the m.o. of the media. The newspaper is part of the media. The media is all Liberal, Socialists, or whatever you want to call them. They are all Anti-American. Over the years, some masqueraded as Conservative a/l/a George Will, etal., until the time came for him/them to show their true colors. Evidently , the time has arrived. We [Trump supporters] stand alone, My Friend. That is a fact. You can like it or not. The choice is yours. But it is what it is.
