that is generous... Muslims are a significantly younger population than the U.S. as a whole... ~77% are between the ages of 18 and 50 (about twice the national average), and ~54% are male. One would expect such a demographic to be well above mean rate of service, but instead it is <1/3 the expected number if the demographics matched the U.S. as a whole. I’d guess their representation is less than 1/6th what it should be, and an order of magnitude low if one were to assume they were intent on showing the Muslim American community stands with the U.S. in the war on terror. This number is not impressive, but rather shines a light on a VERY low service rate. I’d also point out that SEVEN TIMES as many gang bangers are in the military... should we feel good about that as well?

They've run from defending the women and children of their homelands to seek "refuge" in the west. They aren't going to defend the west from (Islamist) threats if they ere unwilling to defend their homeland.
