Khizr Khan, the bereaved father of fallen soldier Capt. Humayun Khan who attacked Donald Trump last week in a speech at the Democratic National Convention, told CNN’s Jim Acosta Sunday morning that terror has “nothing to do with Islam.”
Here is Khan’s full quote (emphasis added):
In addition to this, there was in the speech that my good wife asked me to refrain from saying, I wanted to say we reject all violence. We are faithful, patriotic, undivided loyalty to this country. We reject all terrorism. She asked me not to say that because that was not the occasion for such a statement. We say to his ignorance, I address his ignorance, that the dirt effect, the most effect of the menace of terrorism have been Muslims in the world, Muslims hate this menace of terrorism as much as any other place. It is our duty to keep this country, our country, beautiful country, safe. We have always thought of [it] that way, we will continue to do our part to keep it safe and beautiful. What he cites in the name of Islam, and all that — that is not Islam at all! I wish he would have, somebody would have put something in his head that these are terrorists, these are criminals, these folks have nothing to do with Islam.

Last Thursday, Khan caused a sensation at the convention when he spoke alongside his wife, challenging Trump’s proposed ban on Muslim immigration, saying: “Have you even read the U.S. Constitution? … You have sacrificed nothing and no one.”

The media — which ignored, or disputed, a similar speech at the Republican National Convention, by Patricia Smith, who lost her son at Benghazi, followed up on Khan’s speech by challenging Trump to respond.

I wonder why so many of these terrorist “folks” shout Allah Akbar when they kill people if what they are doing has nothing to do with Islam.
It seems odd that they would do that if their actions have nothing to do with Islam.
I don’t think this character is a very sympathetic or convincing figure. He looks pretty insincere waving his copy of the US Constitution around. Who believes that is a copy he owned before his DNC appearance was plotted.
But I’ve had Fox mostly on mute all morning and they have run this story on every show and several times on some shows.
So it’s just pure coincidence that 100% of the 30,000 terrorist attacks worldwide since 9-11 have been by Muslims?? No pattern her at all??

That’s right its not terror. It’s just conquest, kill, rape, plunder, enslavement. In their mind if it’s Koranically justified, then how can it be considered terror.
And especially the families of the victims of the Fort Hood shooting by a Muslim army captain.

Gee - this guy knows more about Islam than the religious professors at Al Ahram University in Cairo. Guess those professors and other Imams who speak Arabic must be lying.
All this time, the United States has had an authority (Khan) on the Constitution, on Americanism, on Islam, and on terrorism, and on patriotism, and we did not even know it.
It all makes one wonder why he emigrated to the United States if Islam can produce a perfect society and culture.

How come he gets to drive the news, when the liberal networks don’t even interview the families of the Benghazi victims (under Hillary’s watch).

Why were the liberals aghast at the GOP convention, that people from families who lost loved ones in Benghazi spoke out???? But it’s ok for other families who lost loved ones to speak at the Democrat convention??
Chris Mathews said that one particular Benghazi victim mother in particular ruined that night of the GOP convention.
So if we are going to be intellectually honest, didn’t hearing from Trayvon’s momma and Michael Brown’s momma and this dude whose son was killed, ruin the Democrat convention???
Based on the liberals own criteria, you shouldn’t have people who have lost family members to some sort of violence speak at a political convention.
So why was it bad to such families to be at the GOP convention, but acceptable for them to be at the Democrat convention?????
Its become so obvious to me. AP, NYT, CNN, WaPo, Rueters, etc... are fully coordinated and organized by the Democrats/Left with their talking points and narrative. They are part of our establishment, quasi state-run media. Recent DNC wikileaks proved this beyond a doubt.
And when the terrorists “who have nothing to do with islam” get the upper hand will Khan be fighting the terrorists “who have nothing to do with islam” or will he be supporting them?
I wonder why the DNC didn’t have the parents of Major. Nidal Hassan speak at their convention?
