Pope: not right to talk about a 'violent, terrorist' Islam

Pope Francis on Sunday said he won't label Islam as "terrorist" because that would be unfair and not true.

Reporters aboard the papal plane flying him home after a pilgrimage to Poland that began the day after extremists slit the throat of an elderly priest celebrating Mass in a French church, asked him why he never uses the world "Islam" to describe terrorism or other violence.

While in Poland, Francis made an unscheduled stop at a church in Krakow to implore God to protect people from the "devastating wave" of terrorism in many part of the world.

Francis replied that "it's not right to identify Islam with violence. It's not right and it's not true."

The Church has suffered bad popes, stupid popes before.

This condition of failure and betrayal has been around since Judas, and before that Lucifer in the Heavenlies.

The Church will suffer much and persecution as well, as sacred scripture warns.

The Pope is right, of course.

Mainstream Islam was responsible for the slaughter in Orlando, in Nice, in Paris, in Normandy, in Brussels and Istanbul, in San Bernardino, at Fort Hood, at the Boston Marathon, on trains in France and Germany, and in 29,000 other Islamic terrorist attacks just in the past 15 years. When that many terrorists commit murder, and they are sheltered by the families and communities and celebrated with parades and demonstrations in the streets, this is not some violent terrorist aberration of Islam. What we are seeing is real Islam.

Not right to talk about radical Islam? Sounds like he has lost sight of real right and wrong, if ever had sight of these.

What in the he** is wrong with him????

The only exception. After that it was all Italians until Pope John Paul II.

That's a sorry excuse for what is happening in the Catholic church right now.

Besides, Jesus never put Judas, or Lucifer, in any position of authority in His church, nor do I recall the Catholic church ever claiming that Judas was the rock on which Christ would build His church.

This Pope started with a mediocre intellect, and went through a worse-than-mediocre Jesuit system, making him the least-qualified Pope in many centuries.

He is also a weirdo and a lifelong lefty subversive, who can’t get enough hugs from trannies and abortionists, and is “nauseated” by talk of a Christian Europe.

There’s a meme about Obama, which I wish someone on FR would re-do with Bergoglio:

Once you accept that he’s not on our side, everything he does makes sense.

The Church will suffer much and persecution as well, as sacred scripture warns.

Suffering persecution for righteousness sake is way different from what is going on in your church today.

That comment is an insult to all those who have truly suffered real persecution for following Christ.

Is there no evil in their church that Catholics are willing to condemn?

Blowing off this kind of stuff as not really significant has a head in the sand outlook.

The problem will not go away by itself. Your college of cardinals put him there. The problem is way deeper than just one bad pope. The hierarchy is rotten to the core and this pope is the fruit of that rottenness.

The College of Cardinals needs to have a do-over.....................

The Catholic church needs a new college of cardinals, not just the chance to put in a new pope with the same college.

And which pope would that have been who stacked the college of cardinals that elected this pope?

The Catholic Church does not believe that Bergoglio is the Rock on which Christ built his Church. Bergoglio is a successor to Peter, who was the Rock on which Jesus built his Church. Bergoglio is a rotten successor to Peter, because the College of Cardinals is currently loaded with corrupt men. But Bergoglio will die, and those who installed him will die, so there’s hope.

There’s no “excuse” for what’s happening in the Catholic Church, just as there is no excuse for all the gay and lesbian pro-abortion ministers and “bishops” in the Protestant churches. It’s plain old apostasy and sin.

Kiss off. I was not speaking to the anti Catholic zealots on your side of the Tiber and outside of the Church, who reek with thinking themselves wise in their own eyes about all things Catholic.

Any Catholic who appears to defend this pope only hurts their church themselves.

It doesn’t take a Catholic to see that he is wrong. It’s not a matter of Catholic doctrine.

Why not be so rude to your fellow Catholics who criticize the pope, as well?
