My son is a convert to Catholicism, therefore I do my utmost to respect his feelings and his beliefs...but this Pope is not truly representing the values of the people that look to him for guidance.

I feel and hear the conflict in my son every time I talk with him.

This Pope is alienating many, many good Catholics and pushing them further away from the Church.

My firm belief, as a "not-as-good-as-I-should-be Baptist", is that he is being manipulated from within the church, itself, but as a Baptist, I've not been too terribly interested in the machinations of the Roman Catholic Church.

If he is not being manipulated, then he is truly the dumbest damned Pope to sit in the Vatican for quite a while.

He makes really stupid off-the-cuff remarks, which, I am aware, are not to be seen nor interpreted as being the words of God, but this guy is a loon and he just keeps on being a loon.

Again, I intend no disrespect toward any practicing (or non-practicing, for that matter) Catholic, but I feel that your Pope is doing much more harm than good.

I’m a Catholic never like this Pope. I always thought u I always thought was too liberal. Many Catholics and the general public were happy that a pope was finally not from Europe. Just like Obama who was a half black and got a chance at the presidency, a Latino has gotten a chance to be the pope. They are both struck out royally.

I’m a Catholic, and I take no offense.

The pope was a bar bouncer before joining the church. His experience living in Argentina stunted his intellectual growth.

“...but this Pope is not truly representing the values of the people that look to him for guidance...”

=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+

The man is a FALSE pope because he is a heretic, non-Christian, and an enemy of the Church, for a true pope, such as Pope Pius XII and his predecessors, must be a Catholic and if a true pope, cannot teach error.

The faithful are permitted to discern this and act accordingly, regardless of how many others “follow” and support a false pope as pope.

From Saint Robert Bellarmine we read:

Therefore, the true opinion is the fifth, according to which the Pope who is manifestly a heretic ceases by himself to be Pope and head, in the same way as he ceases to be a Christian and a member of the body of the Church; and for this reason he can be judged and punished by the Church...

...This is the opinion of all the ancient Fathers, who teach that manifest heretics immediately lose all jurisdiction… NOT AFTER WARNINGS OR DECLARATION BECAUSE heretics already before being excommunicated are outside the Church and deprived of all jurisdiction. For they have already been condemned by their own sentence, as the Apostle teaches (Tit. 3:10-11), that is, they have been cut off from the body of the Church without excommunication, as St. Jerome affirms…
