Perhaps an over-generalization but I think a weak president (Obama/Hillary) allows for certain, aggressive elements in Russia to think again of world domination. Knowing Trump has a response for everything may indeed keep the world peace.
I think Hillary is the more hawkish of the two. Trump will more carefully define our national security interests, with the result being fewer mindless foreign military interventions.
