I concur with you on this as he could have responded more tactfully to what has happened He should leave Twitter alone and let the counter-attacking to be done by his campaign and the conservative media who have the mother-lode on Khan’s illicit connections and affiliations.
I doubt anyone remembers, but I opposed Trump’s nomination and supported Ted Cruz instead. However, Christie\s remark show that it is he who is the blowhard and the idiot, while Trump\s comments about the silence of Mr. Khan’s wife may be an example of prescience.

I concur with you too but he does have to measure his responses with some thought. He is very lucky here that Khan is dirty and he needs to avoid these pitfalls at this stage of the campaign.
Khan stepped up to the platform and baited Trump. He needs to drag his sorry a$$ along with his head bagged wife back to their Muslim hovel and shut the hell up if can’t take the heat.
