And once he starts getting the foreign affairs briefs, etc. he will start to feel the weight of the job - that will change him too. He'll evolve, but he'll always be Trump.

You’re right. Those endorsements mean nothing to the people in the respective districts, mainly because they understand that he had to do it.

Ryan and McCain are not going to return any favors. They will claim Trump’s endorsement, for what that is worth in their respective races. This is a “gift” to them, and Trump knows he won;t et anything directly in return. It’s up to the voters to arrange the players.

Trump as prez will give cover to the congress to do the right thing for once. And the cocktail circuit will have new hosts that won’t blacklist them for it.

I guess some just don’t understand presidential politics. It seems Trump is learning what it means to be the leader of a political party.
By not showing up RYAN looks like petty little child (See: Ted Cruz). Could it be Trump endorses him, knowing Ryan will act like an asshole, thereby causing Ryan to look WORSE and lose? Yikes. That’s Machiavellian...
Golden Boy Ryan gets a free pass. Who is going to attack him? Nobody. He’s got a free hand to withhold his support and frag Trump at his leisure. Trump needs to finish this speech and forget Wisconsin. It’s not happening.
