If the goal was to eliminate a race, why wouldn’t they just sterilize that race during the abortion? I can’t remember the exact circumstances, but I believe that was done in the past without the woman’s knowledge or consent. Seems a little sketchy to me.

It is easier to talk a group of people into eliminating a "few" babies here and there rather than go full bore and admit you were sterilizing a whole category of women "for the common good."
