With Sarah diet. One can have butter , cream, nuts , bacon , all the fruit and Vegetables ( avacadoes too)one can eat. The more fiber the better.
Just no low fat foods or diet foods.
I’ve learned to make great custards with maple syrup on tops. Or add some cocoa /stevia to mix for pudding
She even has great recipes for grain substitutes using seeds and nuts.
Eggs any way and good meats and cheese a must.

Because the fats are included there is not the cravings. Belly fat melts off

You have just described the truly healthiest way of eating. It is nearly identical, if not completely identical, to Dr. Atkins maintenance phase diet.

We lost much weight when we followed this way of eating years ago. Unfortunately, we slipped back into eating the foods our brains were patterned with since our youth, and the weight returned. Even though we feel better following the good way of eating, our brains remember our old “comfort” foods and keep reminding us of what it wants! I wish I had the same persistence to keep with it as I did years ago. Good luck to you, HM, I am sending good wishes your way!

Thanks for posting this! Years ago I was referred to Mayo for heart surgery. My weight was OK, but my physician liked their “diet”... It was stressed: No low fat, no fat, diet food, or diet soda. The chemicals to makes these “foods” are horrendous.

A physician doing one of the lectures gave a great piece of advice: Your stomach is like a kitchen sink. Liquids pass quickly, so be very cognizant of liquid calories. Get your brain involved. The first 3 bites of your meal should be protein... The protein clogs the sink.. The consumption of additional food will settle and touch the wall of your stomach, thus signaling your brain. Don’t consume liquids at this stage of eating or you’ll unclog the sink! Set your eating utensil down and think about what you’re eating.... Is it sweet, salty, crunchy, tart...etc... If you don’t consume food mindlessly, you’ll consume less. The protein first idea comes in to play when eating out as well... If you are dining in an Italian or Mexican restaurant and the bread/rolls or chips are served, they are not protein so don’t start eating them. He said he’s not saying you can’t have them, it’s just the sequence you consume them. Most people will consume far less of those items if they wait.

Eating healthy is so beneficial to overall health. I’m not sure Cheetos are considered healthy, or even food, but on rare occasions they find their way into my grocery cart!!!
