From the Article:

“The heart of the plan is a 15% corporate tax rate.

“... a middle class tax cut ... the average middle class family will save somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,500-$2,000 a year ...

“It eliminates the estate tax.

“It eliminates the marriage penalty.

“It eliminates the alternative minimum tax.

“About 90% of Americans would no longer have to itemize deductions because they would be able to take a standard deduction.

“You wouldn’t have to keep track of all your receipts on purchases, on charitable deductions, because most people would just take the generous standard deduction.”

That is some amazing automation and technology that teleported companies to Mexico and other countries. I think the executives had moved the companies.

Very good for company executives and some big investors not so much for American workers

Sounds like a great plan.

Better still if he has the perfect answer when the haters ask, “how will it be paid for or how much will it cost?”...

I hope that answer in part starts with, “first of all, the money belongs to American taxpayers, thus, your premise of ‘costing’ is untrue...”

Compared to the USA labor in the third word is virtually free. So where are the HUGE price reductions? Why aren’t Oreos 10% cheaper?

Or adding it is not a Zero Sum Game - lower taxes begets more revenue, which begets more business, which begets more taxable revenue etc

Lower income taxes and increase tariffs. Lowering income taxes just increases profits made on the back of third world labor. You can’t do one without the other.

“... increase tariffs” does not seem to be in the plan as presented, but maybe I missed something... “the back of third world labor” ... now there is a good conservative talking - sticking up for the little guy in some poor country where there are no jobs except in the labor intensive factory ...

It is best not permit such things as that little guy would love to starve to death rather than have the opportunity to volunteer himself to work for slave wages in some awful factory breaking his back to produce some trinket for some wealthy (from his perspective) Westerner.

It will help to lower the population in such impoverished countries were the West (out of the best of intentions) refuses to build factories as a matter of national policy. The West can send in the cameras to film the devastation and poverty, document mass starvation and disease, all the while lamenting the poor and offering donations (most of which go to support the people who run the charity), while feeling good at saving the poor from themselves. Amen and thank you.

I am amazed that BMW still has a market. They don’t exactly sell a car that lives up to its own image. Those in the know don’t buy BMW vehicles.

American are under no obligation to give a crap about anyone other then their fellow Americans.

I am not a conservative, I threw away that old moniker a long time ago. The meaning of Conservationism means first an foremost someone who is a globalist open borer free trader. I am a red blooded American.

“I think NAFTA’s been a positive thing for the economy of North America.”

Well yes, some of North America but not the middle part, US. It’s done fine things for Mexico and Canada who manufacture oem and aftermarket auto parts. Then overpaid union people here assemble the oem parts into vehicles. We used to build the whole damn car. Take apart a new car and the hard parts are made in Mexico, plastics in Canada and electronics in China.
