A video of Silicon Valley princeling Gurbaksh Chahal assaulting his former girlfriend could finally land him in jail.
The video is high quality, as might be expected of a surveillance camera in the penthouse bedroom of a high-tech princeling.
The footage was so clear that San Francisco police were able to determine that Gurbaksh Chahal punched and kicked his girlfriend 117 times in 30 minutes. He also smothered her with a pillow for 20 seconds.

He’s a Sikh. Apparently there is a battle raging among Sikhs over this a**hole, some condemning him as a criminal and others taking the ethnic solidarity route.
I doubt that he’s Muslim, since the name is Hindu and means “gift of guru”.
Far more important is the fact that he’s a big Obama and Democrat donor, which got him off the last time he beat up his girl friend. I suppose even Democrats couldn’t handle the optics of serial domestic abuse when it’s documented on video.

So this rich idiot comes from a long line of Sikhs. He may be one of those “Sikhs in name only” variants that we hear of in other causes.
Democrat... Obviously innocent. He didn’t intend to beat her and was just extremely careless.
2. One puzzling aspect of this story is why Chahal would have the poor judgement to have a girlfriend who would stab him in the back in such an extreme way, and why a woman who is dating a guy worth hundreds of millions would feel the need to do this and then tell him about it.
His parents are Sikhs, but I note he has his hair cut! I don’t think you can be a male Sikh in good standing with your hair cut. So based on photographic evidence I’d say he was of Sikh ancestry, but isn’t a Sikh himself. Thus I wouldn’t blame the, normally good, Sikh community for his actions.
