Welcome to the effort to recall Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom. Newsom and Governor Jerry Brown have been involved in a series of debilitating actions against the Constitution of California and the United States and have waged a war against the working people of the state.
Newsom is pushing an effort to undermine the few gun rights left for California residents. California’s already obscene gun laws are the strictest in the country. Now it will get a whole lot worse. California’s efforts have nearly destroyed the in-state gun industry and the rights of citizens to carry.

Despite California’s crashing economy and structural deficits, the Lt. Governor announced in 2015 he was running for Governor– just a month after being sworn in for a second term and almost four years before the election. When I was stationed in San Diego in 1989 I bought a Norinco AK-47, 3 30 round mags and 500 rounds of ammo for about $350. No waiting period and no background check. I was even thinking of staying in California when I got out of the navy. Luckily I didn’t. I still have the Norinco.
I think this is futile, it will change nothing. However if were to pass a Citizens Initiative based on

No Person that holds an elective or appointed Public Office in the State of California shall use, own, or Possess Any Firearm or Ammunition, No Person that holds an elective or appointed Public Office in the State of California Shall Not Have any person in their Employ or Employed on their Behalf in Possession of any Firearm or Ammunition. This Law shall once applied to an individual shall extend in perpetuity.
All Violations of this law shall be a FELONY, Punishable by not less than a $1 Million Dollar Fine and 10 Years in Prison
No way it happens. He will be gov of the state at some point. Harris will win senate. The whole place is a socialist utopia.

Unfortunately with the new “jungle primary” system, Cali is getting two dems for some of the November elections.
