Shock: Americans’ Wages Dropping Fast in 2016
Breitbart ^ | 08/08/2016 | Neil Munro

Federal data released Aug. 9 shows that Americans’ wages are dropping again, seven years after President Barack Obama declared the economy had recovered from the property-bubble — and three months before the 2016 election. The dramatic drop was buried in an Aug. 9 report by the Bureau of Labor Statistics, which said that officials have radically revised their prior claim that wages grew 4.2 percent in the first quarter, from January to March.

“Real hourly compensation decreased 0.4 percent after revision, rather than the previously-published increase of 4.2 percent,” the BLS admitted. Compensation also fell another 1.4 percent in the second quarter, from April to June, the BLS admitted in the same report. That’s 2 percent drop in wages since December.

Pay shrank 0.3 percent in 2013, rose a mere 1.1 percent in 2014, but rose a promising 2.7 percent in 2015, according to the BLS.

The wage drop is a potential p.r. problem for Obama, who has been touting the apparent rise in wages since officials reported that wages grew 2.7 percent during 2015.

In June, Obama cited the mistaken 2016 wage-growth claim while arguing the economy was finally helping ordinary Americans. “Let’s get wages rising faster,” Obama declared in a speech at Concord Community High School, Elkhart, Indiana.

Yep, it a policy of insanity. The Reps want the cheap labor and the Dems want the voters. Both parties have abandoned the American worker.

This is why the political elites and their corporate paymasters are doing whatever is necessary to destroy Trump. The stakes are enormous. It is the globalists versus the nationalists.

Real median household income has dropped during the Barry years. Can’t remember last time this happened.

I think Trump will win but either way the Republican Party is finished. I cannot vote for these NWO a$$clowns ever again. Trump was a kick in the GOPe’s cajones by the base on the way out the door.

I’ll be surprised if they don’t blame G.W., S.P., or even D.T.

More corruption of the career bureaucracy.

At one time in my storied career I had to rely on data from the BLS for sworn testimony in State and Federal Courts. With the blatant politicization of once reliable federal data gatherers I could probably develop another career in debunking those still relying on BLS data.

However, I am in the Expert Witness Protection Program so that is not possible...

Hope Trump starts to pound this mendacity.

Republican Party - a defunct American political party that was founded by the Abolitionist Movement in the 1850’s and was a leading force in American politics before committing suicide in 2016.

What ever happened to the Porkulus money and shovel ready jobs???

They just didn't have enough funding to put them over the top. That will all be fixed by Clinton's promised "greatest jobs program since WW II."

Happened to me. So, I took another job that is more boring, but pays more. They lost a good employee. I know for a fact 6 months later they miss me. How? Every person I meet from the old job tells me.

I thought millions of illegals were the key to keeping wages high. Have our politicians been lying to us???

LEGAL IMMIGRANTS are a bigger problem than illegal aliens in terms of jobs and wages.

What we need is more illegals and more illiterate refugees that can’t speak our language. That always drives wages up. If you have any doubts just ask the U S Chamber of Commmerce and the GOPe. This is their plan to solve the wage problem, and they are working tirelessly at it.

I’ve said for years that you can eliminate two $100,000 jobs and replace them with four $30,000 jobs, and the BLS will report that jobs doubled.

That is the kind of death spiral we’ve been in since Obama took office.

The goal is to put everyone in a situation where they can’t support themselves so that they have to get on some form of public assistance and are beholden to the party of government.

I believe you are right. I don’t have health insurance, but if I did, I’d not be able to afford my home.

The old USSR had a zero percent unemployment rate.
