I haven’t watched wrestling since the days of Dick the Bruiser, the Crusher, Baron von Raschke, and Bulldog Henning. Von Raschke could draw blood with his Iron Claw, and the Bulldog, never a favorite of fans, would scowl and growl at them when they barked at him like dogs. Ah, things were much simpler then.

For the record, he wasn't gay, but was forced to adopt that persona by Vince McMahon Jr. At that point, he had gained a lot of weight and his career was on a downward spiral. He pretty much had to go along with the gimmick if he wanted to keep working in the business.

Darrin Young came out and was buried immediately. He has come back the past few months with this new schtick with Bob Backlund “Make Darrin Young Great Again” which has fizzled out and he is pretty much a jobber now.
